Grey Seal 13/03/2022

A wander round Scarborough Harbour in search of birdlife this morning produced unexpected great views of a fairly young Common Seal, using the dry dock area timbers, as somewhere to rest and warm up out of the water. Am not too happy with it being in the Harbour, as I feel it's not the cleanest place in the world, but it seemed a good weight and healthy. It was tagged so I would persume it has been rescued previously and released, hopefully it won't have to be again!!! As an update 14/03/2022, I was contacted by the BDMLR (British Divers Marine Life Rescue) who said it was a young seal, rescued and released in the Wash Area in November 2021 and now looked to be doing well, its name while in the rescue centre was Jitterbug!!!
