RSPB Bempton and Gannets 2017
A catch up with RSPB Bempton and Gannet photography in 2017 when I visited the reserve a couple of times and was lucky enough to go on a 'Diving Gannet' boat trip run by Yorkshire Coast Nature and Steve Race, which though the weather was not brilliant due to rain and mist, what we saw was amazing, raining Gannets, is all I can say!!!
RSPB Bempton is the largest mainland Gannet Colony in the Country and is truly amazing.
Gannet close ups and them gathering nesting materials
Gannets in flight over the cliff tops

The first pre work stop at the local Peregrine location on the Castle Headland, around The Marine Drive, in Scarborough this morning, always an awesome sight to see and these photographs, are of the smaller Male taking off from one of his usual rock perches.

Grey Seal 13/03/2022
A wander round Scarborough Harbour in search of birdlife this morning produced unexpected great views of a fairly young Common Seal, using the dry dock area timbers, as somewhere to rest and warm up out of the water. Am not too happy with it being in the Harbour, as I feel it's not the cleanest place in the world, but it seemed a good weight and healthy. It was tagged so I would persume it has been rescued previously and released, hopefully it won't have to be again!!!
As an update 14/03/2022, I was contacted by the BDMLR (British Divers Marine Life Rescue) who said it was a young seal, rescued and released in the Wash Area in November 2021 and now looked to be doing well, its name while in the rescue centre was Jitterbug!!!

Peregrine Falcons 2018-2021
A catch up selection, of Peregrine Falcon photographs, all local to Scarborough, where for the last good number of years, we have had a breeding pair of Falcons, sited on the Castle Headland, around The Marine Drive in Scarborough. A special place to visit in a morning before work, with the camera and a good brew.
Note, though a Schedule 1 bird, all photographs were taken from the public footpath and road and no disturbance was caused to the birds, which is evident in viewing the photographs, with the Falcons, breeding, sharing food, bringing up youngsters (when not predated by Foxes) and just the general length of stay on the cliffs.
