In fading light and after a great walk around Lochranza and then up to Corie-Fhionn Lochan we ventured to the stunning Machrie Stone Circles which were deserted due to the late time and failing light, but the same made the place much more atmospheric helped by buzzards flying off to roost and a barn owl flying around the vicinity as the sunset.

Not great photographs due to the light and lack of a tripod, my fault after a long day. I didn't want to carry the equipment after many a mile walking day, but wished in the end I had!!!
