Went in search of the Black Browed Albatross, but just missed the photograpic opportunity, but Northen Gannets were starting to build nests and a flyby Fulmar is always great.

Taiga Flycatcher at Flamborough

Wheatear, Whintchat, Whitethroat, Willow Warbler all local (ish) to home

Wood Warbler, Turkey Carpey, Silpho, Near Scarborough

Yellowhammer at Snainton

Long Tailed Tits attending the nest at Scar Wood and Castle Beck

Nuthatch, Pied Wagtail, Robin and Rock Pipit all close to home

Meadow Pipits on the Local Moors

Little Ringed Plover Catch up from 2021

Catch up blog from April 2021, leading on from the last blog of this years returning LRP's. These of last years birds in the same place at Wykeham Lakes, Near Scarborough. Unfortunalety the birds are disturbed from their historically favoured location, by the workings and new Water Park, but hopefully there is enough similar habitat around the Lakes and Quarries for them to settle and breed.

Little Ringed Plover 01/04/2022

Cracking way to start the month off, with my first Little Ringed Plovers of the Season at Wykeham South Lakes, Near Scarborough. Lucky to get a little sunshine as the weather was unseasonably cold with snow showers.
