Autumn Colours

Autumn Colours
21/10/2012
Peasholm Park, Scarborough

Few nice coloured trees seen before a family Sunday lunch, shame about the sea fret after lunch, causing the light to be dark, grey dull and cold.

Promise, to myself that I will add some more pictures of the wonderful Autumn colours.

Please let the sunshine next weekend before it's to late.

Canada Geese taking off at Scalby Lodge Ponds after a night roosting. A fantastic sight, from the ponds that seem to be filling with more water all the time, after a long spell where they were  empty and dry.

Interesting Saturday Morning

Saturday Morning

Scarborough Marine Drive and Scalby Lodge Farm Pond Hide

Interesting early Saturday morning before visiting family in Sheffield for the weekend.

I thought I would have a quick hour looking round the Marine Drive and then up to Scalby Lodge Farm Pond.

What I saw confirms earlier comments about the great place I live in, with the two places only a couple of minutes from home.

Harbour Porpoises, Roe Deer and a hunting Barn Owl all on show.

Tophill Low Reserve and The Wolds

Top Hill Low Reserve and The Wolds
06/10/2012

Lovely day out around Tophill Low Reserve, Watton and The Wolds in search of the Red Kite roost near Warter, where the Kites were not showing too well, but at least I know where to go after getting lost a couple of times. The area could be great given a little luck and more time, as there were a number of distant Common Buzzards and also a couple of Green Woodpeckers heard away in the distant. Definitely somewhere to revisit in the winter months.
